BFA & RYT 500

Art has the power to bring joy, healing, and peace. I cherish opportunities to create beauty and inspire self-discovery through the creative process. With a sunny disposition and a passion for sustainability, I often incorporate eco-conscious and upcycled materials into my work. I am a champion of handwriting and believe in the benefits of “I can!”

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, I am a professional artist, designer, art educator, and yoga instructor. I work in my home studio and specialize in calligraphy, freehand-engraving, lettering, watercolors, drawing, and graphic design. Clients include American Chemical Society, Armani, Belk, Dillard’s, Dior, Gucci, Jo Malone London, Maker’s Mark, Moët Hennessy, Nordstrom, Ray-Ban, Tom Ford, UPS, and Virgin. My engravings, paintings, calligraphy, and hand-pulled prints can be found in private collections across the United States, as well as in France and Japan.

I was raised in the beautiful Appalachian town of Lebanon, Virginia. I began my formal art studies with watercolorist Ellen Elmes at Southwest Virginia Community College and later earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C. Since 2003, I’ve worked professionally as a graphic designer, specializing in logo design, brand identity, publication and book design, and custom calligraphy. Please see LinkedIn for my complete resume.

Curiosity and wonder are at the heart of my creative practice and my teaching. I have been teaching art and calligraphy classes to teens and adults since 2016 and began teaching yoga in 2020. My yoga offerings include Kids Yoga, Vinyasa/Power Flow, Restorative, Prenatal & Postnatal, Yin Yoga, Gentle Flow, and Chair Yoga. I began practicing in 2001 with Jenny Otto in Greenbelt, Maryland, and later studied at Unity Woods Yoga Center in D.C., rooted in the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. In 2020, I earned my 200-hour RYT Vinyasa certification from Rising Wolf Yoga School, followed by my 300-hour advanced certification from Deep Roots Yoga School in 2024.

Artist, teacher, and above all, a lifelong student, I am deeply grateful to the loving family, friends, and brilliant teachers who have shaped me. I continue to learn from inspiring calligraphers, artists, and yogis around the world and am honored to share my passion with others.
