4-Week Series, Wednesdays, March 25 – April 15
Join Miranda for a fun and relaxing time of painting inspired by traditional spontaneous-style Chinese brush painting.
Traditional Chinese brush painting artists seek to capture the spirit of nature. The technique encourages imagination and asks you to paint what you want to see, not what you actually see.
Students discover this technique to be a calming and mindful way to paint. Each stroke is made with intention, purpose, and love.
You will learn to paint the following:
Week 1: Bamboo & Air Plants
Week 2: Roses & Peonies
Week 3: Carnations & Marigolds
Week 4: Cherry Blossoms & Dogwood
You will leave with:
A special brush, watercolor paper pad, and watercolor palette used in class so you can continue painting at home and bring them to class each week!
2–3 small paintings made in each class.
A few postcards and greeting cards made in class.
Digital handouts with step-by-step instructions.
Class fee: $225
New students: A one-time $50.00 supply fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of the first class. Cash, Venmo, or Zelle are accepted.
Returning students: Bring your own supplies. The fee will be prorated and based on your supplies, plus the handout fee.
